Job Summary
Slitter Assistant in Mississauga (Canada) supporting slitting operations by assisting with machine setup, monitoring product quality, and ensuring efficient production flow. Responsibilities include following safety rules and PPE requirements, packing shafts, monitoring machine operations, maintaining housekeeping, communicating across shifts, minimizing waste, ensuring product quality meets customer specs, setting up and operating roll doctor machines, removing defects, packaging and palletizing, changing rewind/unwind rolls, inputting production data, applying core labels, operating slitters as needed to cover for Slitter Operators, and participating in GPS activities. Ideal candidates will prioritize safety and quality, work well in a team, and be willing to learn new responsibilities.
