Job Summary
Slicing Production Supervisor responsible for preparing and coordinating production line schedules for Line Leads and Production Associates, ensuring safety and efficiency while meeting deadlines. Collaborates with Plant HR to manage scheduling conflicts, employee disputes, and workplace investigations; trains and guides staff to improve production efficacy; places employees based on strengths, resolves downtime issues at root cause, fosters safe labor relations with union representatives, and ensures compliance with federal/state policies and safety/sanitation initiatives. Requires 2+ years of supervisory experience in food processing and knowledge of USDA GMPs; HS diploma or equivalent; strong leadership and communication capabilities; willingness to travel between plants.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
- 2+ years of supervision or management experience in a food processing environment
- Ability to read, interpret, and review instructions for preparation of materials
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of USDA requirements and GMPs
- Ability to train and motivate staff
- Ability to address labor relations issues with Plant HR and unions
- Flexible to travel between plants
