Job Summary
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and direct instruction for students with speech, language, and related disorders across grade levels. Develop and monitor individualized treatment plans, adjusting services to meet established goals while maintaining detailed progress documentation. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school teams to support educational achievement and serve as a resource for problem-solving. Train and supervise specialized support personnel, including clinical fellows and graduate students. Work independently within the established scope of practice, reporting findings to stakeholders in accordance with federal, state, and district policies.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Department of Health License in Speech Language Pathology
- Florida Educator Certificate in Speech Language Impaired K-12
- A Florida Department of Health Provisional License
- Up to 10 pounds lifting
- Standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing
- Both dominant and non-dominant hand reaching, overhead
- Moderate noise intensity tolerance
- Traveling to various school sites, work locations, and/or community organizations throughout the district
Desired Qualifications
- American Speech Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence
