Job Summary
Conduct screenings, evaluations, and direct instruction for students with speech, language, and related disorders across grade levels. Develop and monitor educationally relevant treatment plans and Individual Education Plans (IEP) in accordance with state, district, and federal policies. Report findings to parents, teachers, and stakeholders while maintaining rigorous documentation of progress data and service records. Train and supervise specialized support personnel, including clinical fellows and graduate students, as assigned. Collaborate with school problem-solving teams and teachers to address communication goals and provide support for general language development.
Required Qualifications
- Florida Department of Health License in Speech Language Pathology
- Florida Educator Certificate in Speech Language Impaired K-12
- A Florida Department of Health Provisional License
- Up to 10 pounds lifting
- Standing, walking, sitting, handling, keyboarding, talking, and hearing
- Overhead reaching with both dominant and non-dominant hands
- Moderate noise intensity tolerance
- Traveling to various school sites, work locations, and/or community organizations throughout the district
Desired Qualifications
- American Speech Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence
