Job Summary

Speech-Language Pathologist evaluates and provides educationally relevant treatment for students with speech, language, and related disorders across grade levels, following district/state policies. Responsibilities include screenings and evaluations, interpreting findings to parents and teachers, developing therapy and IEP-based treatment plans, delivering services across multiple models, monitoring progress, maintaining confidential records, supervising specialized staff and trainees, serving as a resource to problem-solving teams, collaborating with school staff to meet communication goals, participating in ongoing professional learning, and performing other duties as assigned. Requires licensure in Florida (Speech Language Pathology) or Florida Educator Certificate in Speech Language Impaired K-12; ASHA CCC preferred; provisional licensure accepted for clinical fellows. Travel to multiple district sites may be required.

Required Qualifications

  • Florida Department of Health License in Speech Language Pathology
  • Florida Educator Certificate in Speech Language Impaired K-12
  • American Speech Language-Hearing Association Certificate of Clinical Competence preferred
  • A Florida Department of Health Provisional License will be accepted for clinical fellows
