Job Summary
Operate a commercial vehicle transporting goods across regional and non-regional routes while alternating driving time with another driver. Ensure cargo is loaded and secured properly before departure, then perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance needs. Adhere to all local, state, and federal transportation regulations and safety protocols while maintaining accurate logs for driving hours, routes traveled, and cargo conditions. Communicate with the dispatch management team regarding schedules, delays, and issues that may arise during transportation. Provide excellent customer service by ensuring timely deliveries and handling inquiries or concerns. This full-time position involves driving a tractor trailer over the road with a starting rate of $33.90 per hour and a mileage rate of $0.38 for sleeper team.
Required Qualifications
- Impeccable customer service and dedication
- Valid class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) in resident state
- Hazmat, tanker and doubles endorsements
- 21 years of age
- Meet all DOT and Company requirements
- Safety perform essential job functions without obvious risk of injury to self or co-workers
- Able to read, write and speak the English language
- U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Strong organizational and time managements skills
