Job Summary
Sleep Technician responsibilities include preparing and calibrating sleep study equipment, applying electrodes and PAP interfaces, and conducting a range of sleep tests (MSLT, MWT, PAP titration, oxygen titration, parasomnia studies). You will score sleep stages and clinical events using AASM guidelines, generate detailed reports, manage data from portable monitoring devices, and educate patients on home sleep testing. The role requires HIPAA-compliant patient care, infection control, equipment maintenance, and collaboration within a clinical team to ensure safety, comfort, and high-quality diagnostics.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited sleep technology program (certificate or associate degree).
- Certification from a nationally recognized board (RST, RPSGT, RRT-SDS).
- Current CPR/BCLS certification.
