Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive Polysomnography for clinical and research patients, including mask fittings, PAP titration, and data acquisition. Score sleep stages and clinical events per center protocols, write and adapt protocols as needed, and transfer data to optical storage. Gather patient information to determine testing parameters, explain procedures, and implement therapeutic interventions like oxygen administration. Perform routine and complex equipment maintenance, calibrate instruments, and train staff on new technology. Recognize adverse drug interactions and communicate findings to the medical team while maintaining CPR certification.
Required Qualifications
- NYS OP License
- current registration as a Polysomnographic Technologist
- current registration as a Registered Respiratory Therapy competent to perform Polysomnographic Technology services
- 3 years experience in field of Polysomnography
- ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization
