Job Summary
Facilitate polysomnographic tests, collect accurate data, and prepare equipment by applying electrodes and sensors per established protocols. Monitor study quality, record patient activities, document clinical events such as respiratory and cardiac episodes, and score data for physician review. Adhere strictly to safety regulations and laboratory protocols throughout the overnight shift. This role supports diagnostic testing and patient care at a sleep lab in West Islip, NY, with full-time weekend coverage from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
Required Qualifications
- RPSGT or RRT certification
- MN licensure
- High school diploma or higher
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Prior experience as an RPSGT or RRT in a sleep lab setting
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; use hands to operate equipment
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision with ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally
- Vaccination and immunization records or titers
- Meeting federal employment eligibility requirements (E-Verify participation)
- Availability for full-time, primarily weekends, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM shifts
