Job Summary
Facilitate polysomnographic tests, collect accurate data, and prepare equipment by applying electrodes, sensors, and airway pressure masks per established protocols. Monitor study quality, record patient activities, document clinical events, and score data for physician review while adhering to safety regulations and laboratory protocols. This full-time position involves overnight shifts from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM, primarily on weekends, at a sleep lab in West Islip, NY.
Required Qualifications
- RPSGT or RRT certification
- MN licensure
- High school diploma or higher
- Completion of an accredited Polysomnography program
- Prior experience as an RPSGT or RRT in a sleep lab setting
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; use hands to operate equipment
- Close, distance, and peripheral vision with ability to adjust focus
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally
- Vaccination and immunization records or titers
- Federal employment eligibility requirements (E-Verify participation)
- Availability for full-time, primarily weekends, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM shift
