Job Summary
Conduct overnight sleep studies for pediatric and adult patients by calibrating equipment, applying sensors, and administering oxygen therapy. Monitor capnography, score clinical events using AASM standards, and document observations to facilitate result interpretation. Prepare bedrooms, verify patient consent, and educate patients on procedures while implementing safety interventions as needed. Perform basic troubleshooting to maintain data integrity and complete monthly interscore reliability exams. Work third shift (1800-0600) with variable days, reporting to a clinical supervisor or sleep supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- RPSGT, RST or Respiratory Therapist with SDS certification
- Licensed by the state of Oregon through the Polysomnographic Technologist Licensing Board
- Respiratory Therapist, RRT credentialed
- SDS credentialed within 6 months of hire
- Licensed by the state of Oregon through the Polysomnographic Technologist Licensing Board
- Current BLS certification
- Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Ability to interact with a diverse population
- Ability to effectively reach consensus with a diverse population with differing needs
- Ability to manage facilitation and consensus building among health care professionals and agencies
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree or higher
- Certification in Clinical Sleep Health (CCSH)
- Two (2) years of patient care experience as a sleep technician/technologist
