Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive evaluations and treatments of sleep disorders, including polysomnography, diagnostic services, and patient care. Prepare, calibrate, and adjust sleep lab equipment while applying electrodes and sensors per accepted standards. Monitor polysomnographic data acquisition, resolve artifacts, and document sleep stages and clinical events to support scoring. Implement therapeutic interventions such as PAP mask fitting and oxygen administration, then score sleep stages according to professional guidelines. Provide age-specific care and education to a diverse patient population under general supervision. Full-time night shift with 100% licensure and tuition reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in polysomnography or a related area of sleep study
- Knowledge of polysomnographic techniques and diagnostic procedures
- Skill in analyzing physiological data and recognizing abnormalities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
- Effective communication skills for patient interaction and data documentation
- Ability to work independently within the scope of the role, ensuring patient safety and data accuracy
- RPSGT - Registered Polysomnographic Technologist certification from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Authorization to work in the U.S. for any employer
Desired Qualifications
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM) certification, or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)/Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician (CRTT) with Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS) designation
