Job Summary
Assist individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, and dual diagnoses in daily activities, health management, and household living while maintaining a safe therapeutic environment. Support residents in achieving personal goals and minimizing interfering behaviors during awake hours. Work within the Starbarrack IRA in Red Hook, NY, with paid overnight shifts averaging seven hours per night, responsive to immediate support needs. Requires a high school diploma, valid NY driver's license, and one year of experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
- Valid NY Driver's License
- Be flexible, patient, energetic, creative, and have a sense of humor
- Have a strong passion for working with and helping children and adults with special needs
