Job Summary
Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks; write detailed test plans, test descriptions, and test cases tied to requirements; execute manual and automated testing across static, dynamic, integration, and system levels; perform requirements traceability using DOORS and other tools; identify and track software defects, collaborate with developers for rapid resolution; review peers’ test documentation and provide feedback; participate in Agile Sprints and CCB activities; interface with government customers daily and occasionally present technical testing documentation; on-site role at NSWCDD Dahlgren, VA with 5-days/week on-site requirement; U.S. citizenship and ACTIVE Secret Clearance are required.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional software/systems testing experience or equivalent education
- Experience running/writing automation scripts or code
- Comfortablility reviewing C++ code
- Experience using Linux systems
- Proven analytical ability to find, document, and help resolve complex software issues
- Experience linking requirements to test cases and managing test artifacts
- Excellent written and verbal communication; comfortable presenting to customers
- Strong teamwork and the ability to manage multiple tasks with limited supervision
- BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cyber Security, or equivalent Navy experience is required
