Slack Proactive Monitoring Engineer

Slack Proactive Monitoring Engineer to operate at the intersection of platform engineering, site reliability, and customer success. You will monitor Slack’s Enterprise Grid health, triage alerts, coordinate proactive outreach with Customer Success and Support, and drive rapid remediation through automation and collaboration with Engineering and SRE teams. You will build and maintain Slack-based automations, perform root-cause analysis on proactively detected issues, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Key tooling and skills include observability platforms (Grafana, Splunk, Datadog, PagerDuty), Slack API/workflows, API integrations, cloud-based SaaS architectures, and scripting (Python, JavaScript, Bash). Preferred experience with Slack platform specifics, Salesforce Service Cloud / OrgCS, ITIL/SRE certifications, and a track record of reliability-focused customer-facing engineering in a SaaS environment. This role emphasizes proactive health checks, incident threshold collaboration with Incident Management, and delivering annual health reviews of platform metrics and configurations.
