Job Summary
Skyfari Operator needed at Omaha’s Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium for a seasonal, part-time role (approximately 24–32 hours weekly, including weekends and holidays). Responsibilities include safely operating the Skyfari ride in all weather, greeting guests, answering questions, processing transactions at ticketing kiosks, performing daily safety checks, assisting with ride loading/unloading, assisting with chair assembly/detachment seasonally, ensuring guest safety and compliance with zoo policies, maintaining clean ride areas, reporting safety or mechanical issues to a supervisor, and exemplifying professional representation of the Zoo. Must be 18+, able to stand for long periods, adaptable to extended hours including weekends/holidays, and capable of lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally; bilingual skills are a plus. May require background check, drug test, and TB test depending on position; outdoor work in varying conditions with potential evening events.
