Job Summary
Frame, focus, and provide stabilized acquisition of directed and undirected shots using remote heads and gimbals while operating the SkyCam system within established safe protocols. Interface directly with the Pilot, EIC, and Technical Operations Manager to ensure safe installation and proper deployment. Assemble and rig the system, communicate technical needs and irregular operations to onsite personnel, and report equipment issues to the NOC. Provide updates to site surveys as needed and ensure all safety schedules and flight parameters are followed. Work under the direction of the NOC regarding system maintenance and repair.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- One (1) year of progressively responsible experience in remote camera/ pan/tilt head operation, aircraft operation and control, drone operation and control, and/or a strong background preferably in media, broadcasting, technical, IT, engineering, or production industry
- Proficient in the use of MS Windows
- An understanding of basic electronics and networking
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to work extended hours; nights, weekends, and holidays as required
- Must have the ability to manage through complex situations in a professional manner
- Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills with a strong work ethic
- Skilled in the use of computers
- Electrically and mechanically inclined
- Proficient with hand tools and electrical test equipment
- Strong attention to detail
- Possesses good analytical and creative skills
- Strong communications skills
- Eagerness to collaborate with different people
- Comfort with working in a rapidly changing environment
- Open to innovative ideas
- Extensive domestic and international travel
- Must possess or able to obtain US Passport
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- AS or Technical School acceptable
