Job Summary
Developmental Trainer responsible for training and assisting clients to engage in work and/or alternative activities, monitoring progress and behavior, providing feedback and redirection; preparing and maintaining the work/activity area; completing daily documentation; assisting with client program development and goals; supporting activities of daily living and community outings; requires completion of CPR/First Aid/CPI/DSP training within 4 months and passing registry checks; located in Alton, IL, with full-time hours 8:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Experience with people with developmental disabilities (DD) or mental illness (MI) preferred
- Basic computer operating / data entry skills
- Must pass a criminal background check
- Must pass various State and Federal registry checks
- CPR, 1st Aid, Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) and DSP training provided by the company must successfully be completed within the first 4 months and annually thereafter to be certified and maintain position
- Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check
- Be 21 or older, have a valid driver's license, and pass a driving history check
