Job Summary
Teaches, guides, instructs and supports persons with serious mental illness and/or substance use disorders to address barriers in recovery; identifies and meets the client where they are and coaches them to success. Provides individual and/or group interventions in home, community or office; collaborates with an interdisciplinary team; completes clinical documentation and authorizations (ASAMs, Care Plans, CANS/ANSA); maintains up-to-date clinical records; uses structured interventions to help clients overcome barriers to recovery; works with various community systems to support the client; emphasizes skills such as self-advocacy, negotiation, problem solving, goal setting, symptom management, budgeting, vocational supports, and relapse prevention.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; Associate’s degree or two years of experience may be substituted for degree requirement
- Two years of professional experience in related settings preferred
- CANS/ANSA Certification may be required
