Job Summary

Experienced Skills Development Facilitator responsible for reporting for duty as determent by the BCEA, with potential weekend duties, maintaining training equipment and classroom/learner records, managing PoE documents and LMS-related paperwork, submitting assessment reports, and developing facilitation materials. Responsible for keeping records up to date (classroom registers, learner records, PoE documents), ensuring PPE/uniform compliance, supporting learners with disabilities in collaboration with the Head of Training, and coordinating with the administrator to capture course and induction details in the LMS. Includes upgrading training materials and coordinating assessments and verification processes as needed, with remuneration negotiable based on skills and experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • Registered with SASSETA
  • PFTC Assessor and Moderator
  • PSIRA Certification Grade A
  • Experience as SME on skills modules 1,2,3
  • Ability to present learnerships on NQF Level 3/4
  • Minimum 5 years in private security industry
  • Minimum 5 years in training and facilitation
  • Active member with a SETA regulatory body
  • Computer literacy
  • Knowledge of SETA requirements for student registration, tracking & POE
  • Development of facilitation materials and assessment tools
  • Report writing skills
  • Interpersonal skills: Customer liaison, communication, reporting, conflict management, problem solving
  • Knowledge of unit standards and vocational programs
  • Knowledge of ETDP knowledge
  • Planning & decision-making skills
  • Advanced communication skills
  • Ability to wear company uniform and PPE
  • Ability to notify HoD of learner medical concerns
  • Experience with LMS and administrator tasks
  • SITE visits and SETA verification support
  • Uplifting of learner and skills training material
  • Compilation and management of outcomes-based assessments
  • Contribution to learner handbooks
  • Mathematics of assessment and PoE processing
  • Weekend duty when required
