Job Summary
Dismantle pallets using small and large equipment while partnering with another worker to operate production machinery. Perform inspections of equipment, adjust settings, and evaluate components to determine usability against PLA standards. Stack reusable parts, dispose of unusable pieces, and deliver on daily production requirements. Identify pallet types and grades, maintain a clean workspace, and escalate technical issues to leadership. Work in a warehouse environment handling up to 75 pounds repeatedly, requiring prolonged standing and walking.
Required Qualifications
- Capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling 75 pounds or more repeatedly throughout the workday
- Requires the ability to perform an array of manual labor tasks
- Steel-toed boots and other personal protective equipment (PPE) will be required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in pallet repair, woodworking, or construction
- Knowledge of operating a variety of saws, including their uses and maintenance
- Ability to work with high-powered saws in a fast-paced assembly line environment, meeting or exceeding daily production goals and deadlines
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify defects and imperfections in pallets
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- A strong commitment to safety and quality standards
- The ability to work cooperatively with a partner
