Job Summary
Build, repair, and maintain injection molds used in plastic part production while operating manual and CNC equipment including mills, lathes, grinders, and EDM machines. Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and engineering specifications to fabricate precision tooling, collaborating with engineering teams to improve mold designs and manufacturability. Perform changeovers, preventative maintenance, and diagnostics on existing injection molds, ensuring all work meets quality standards and adheres to safety protocols. Minimum of 5 years of experience in tool and die making with emphasis on injection molding required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in tool and die making, with emphasis on injection molding
- Skilled in using hand-fitting techniques to ensure components' proper assembly and function
- Proficient in operating manual and CNC equipment, including mills, lathes, grinders, and Wire/Sinker EDM machines
- Proficient in reading technical drawings and using precision measuring instruments
- Familiarity with the different injection, cooling, and ejection systems common in injection mold designs
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in TIG and/or precision laser welding is a plus
