Job Summary
Contract hourly role for a skilled handyman to join a private property management team in Austin. Responsibilities include proactive maintenance of major appliances and home systems, performing home repairs such as mounting artwork, patching drywall, and touch-up painting, basic electrical and plumbing tasks (installing light fixtures and thermostats, replacing switches, troubleshooting outlets, installing faucets, clearing drains), and other property-management tasks like pet care support and seasonal tasks. The candidate should have experience in residential handyman/maintenance roles, possess their own tools, own a vehicle, and have a clean background with a valid driver's license. Hours are flexible (approx. 10-40 hours/week) with contract hourly compensation of $30/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a handyman, property maintenance, or technician role, ideally in residential homes is a plus
- Strong knowledge of repair and maintenance techniques
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Own general tools and can use them safely and effectively
- Own vehicle and can travel around the Austin area
- Clean background check and drivers license
