Job Summary
Evaluate patients' physical conditions and create individualized treatment plans focusing on improving mobility, strength, and overall functionality. Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, stretches, and pain management techniques while employing modalities like electrical stimulation and heat/cold therapy. Educate patients and families on body mechanics and proper exercise techniques to facilitate recovery in everyday life. Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, tracking improvements in range of motion, strength, and functional capabilities. Ensure therapy spaces are organized and properly equipped before each session. Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including Occupational Therapists and Speech-Language Pathologists, to devise comprehensive care strategies. Provide emotional support and motivation to patients across diverse demographics, from children to elderly clients, addressing post-operative recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. Work onsite in home care settings Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field from an accredited institution
- Active and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Colorado
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for patient engagement and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Proficiency in implementing treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs
Desired Qualifications
- At least 1 year of experience working as a licensed Physical Therapist, preferably in a rehabilitation or home care setting
- Experience with specialized populations, such as geriatrics or pediatrics
- Knowledge of best practices in therapeutic techniques and modern modalities
