Job Summary
Oversee resident lifestyle programming within the community and through outside trips/events; plan and implement multi-level recreation, social, fitness/wellness, educational, and spiritual life programs; ensure regulatory review timelines and appropriate care-plans; assess resident interests/satisfaction and tailor activities to individual needs; develop relationships with residents to foster participation; coordinate outings and transportation; supervise program staff and coach department employees; manage the annual department budget and maintain records; utilize external resources to enrich programming; require a Bachelor’s degree and certification in activity therapy/recreation; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; ensure professional, dignified care and collaboration with residents, families, and coworkers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
- National Certification Council for Activity Professionals and/or Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
- Certified or in the process of being certified
