Job Summary
As a Skilled Night Bus Mechanic at Arriva London, you will be responsible for performing planned and preventative maintenance, diagnosing faults, and conducting reactive repairs on London buses to meet high standards set by Arriva and the DVSA. Key responsibilities include conducting periodic servicing, improving vehicle reliability, preparing vehicles for MOT, executing planned maintenance, and ensuring quality checks. Candidates should have qualifications in PSV/HGV maintenance, an NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or five years of relevant experience, alongside a valid UK driving license and ability to pass a medical.
Required Qualifications
- Qualifications in PSV/HGV maintenance and repair with minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent
- Full UK driving licence with 6 points or fewer
- Ability to pass a PCV pre-employment medical
- At least 5 years of experience in PSV/HGV repair and maintenance if no formal qualifications
