Job Summary
Conduct daily maintenance rounds to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain building systems, electrical equipment, and resident apartments while adhering to safety procedures and regulatory standards. Perform minor repairs on fixtures, plumbing, and anchors; prepare and paint surfaces; and manage snow removal. Complete incident reports and work orders timely, assist contractors, and promptly answer Personal Emergency Response Systems. Make independent decisions regarding task quality and completeness to ensure resident safety and property protection. Work 15-hour shifts from 11:00pm to 7:00am, shoveling snow and maintaining equipment using hand and power tools.
Required Qualifications
- One (1) to three (3) years' experience in Maintenance.
- High school/Technical school or equivalent required.
- Must have a valid New York State Driver's license.
- Must submit to and pass a yearly physical examination.
- Must have physical ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be willing to cover shifts as necessary.
- Must be able to listen to resident, family concerns and implement appropriate action.
