Job Summary
Perform preventative maintenance on facility equipment like patient lifts, oxygen concentrators, and HVAC components. Complete building repairs including painting, drywall, plumbing, and electrical work. Conduct generator testing, fire drills, and safety inspections while responding to maintenance requests and completing work orders. Assist with grounds maintenance, snow removal, and linen collection. Transport staff using facility vehicles in compliance with NYS regulations. Maintain a safe environment by promptly reporting hazards and attending department meetings. Valid NYS Driver's License and one year of maintenance experience required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of experience in a maintenance position
- Valid NYS Driver's License
- Working knowledge of residential or light commercial electrical systems and circuits
- Skills in painting, drywall repair, wallpaper installation, and basic carpentry
- Basic mechanical and HVAC maintenance knowledge
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to climb ladders and work on rooftops when necessary
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication, teamwork, and customer service skills
- Professional, dependable, and safety-focused approach to work
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- 2 years of maintenance experience in a residential building
