Job Summary
Carry out leakage detection and advanced survey work using specialist equipment to pinpoint complex leaks and quantify water loss. Execute step testing, conduct dry hole attendance to verify findings, and plan efficient survey campaigns aligned with the Leakage Operating Model. Complete all work safely in compliance with Health & Safety and environmental standards while delivering first-class customer service. Requires proven experience in the water industry, a full UK driving licence, and technical knowledge of water distribution networks. Full PPE, company van, and fuel card provided.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in leakage detection within the water industry
- Experience using specialist leak detection equipment, including correlators, ground microphones, listening sticks and associated technologies
- Experience carrying out leak location activities, step testing, leakage quantification and network investigations
- A strong understanding of water distribution networks, DMAs and leakage control principles
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret network conditions and pinpoint complex leaks accurately
- A full UK driving licence
Desired Qualifications
- NRSWA accreditation
- Training in Manual Handling or Underground Cable Detection
- Prior experience working in a similar utility or field-based technical role
