Job Summary
Operate heavy equipment outdoors while inspecting and maintaining machinery as needed. Work cooperatively with others using hand tools, diesel plates, and jumping jacks to perform tasks in civil construction, landscaping, and road work. Maintain awareness of job methods, communicate discrepancies, and comply with the Company Safety Program. Travel to assigned job sites in the Waterloo Region with consistent attendance and ability to work 10-14 hours daily, including overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to travel to the Waterloo Region
- Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites
- Valid Driver s License
- Ability to communicate and take direction
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in an outdoor environment
- Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities
- Ability to recognize, communicate and eliminate hazards
- Must have experience working in/around heavy equipment outdoors
- Knowledge of how to read drawings
- Must have experience with hand tools, jumping jacks and diesel plates
Desired Qualifications
- Preferred experience in civil construction, landscaping and road work
