Job Summary
Apprentice Carpenter / Skilled Labourer responsible for labour and carpentry scopes of work in residential and commercial construction. Ensure quality control and compliance with local building codes and company safety policy, while handling general site maintenance and cleanup. Proficient with power tools (air nailer, skill saw, screw gun); perform touch-ups and repairs on sub-trade deficiencies and support the project lifecycle. Collaborates with the Arbutus team, maintains housekeeping, safety, and quality management, and performs other tasks as required by the site foreman.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of construction labour and/or carpentry experience
- Experience in residential construction is an asset
- Good verbal communication skills
- Understanding of how to use small tools and power tools
- Highly organized, results-oriented and able to work in a multi-functional team environment
- Great work ethic and willingness to be a team player
- Appearance must be neat, clean and professional
- Must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license
