Job Summary
Laborer performing tasks such as shoveling, sweeping, raking, mechanical assistance, lifting, pushing and pulling of various objects. Must partner with crew members per plan specifications and, if needed, perform tasks of other positions as instructed by the crew foreman to meet daily schedules/estimates. Requires use of various handheld tools, ability to shovel and rake asphalt, stone, and dirt, and to manage traffic flow under extreme temperatures for extended periods. Flagger Certification is an essential function and will be obtained during new hire orientation. Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor with coworkers and the public.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required
- Flagger Certification is an essential function to be obtained during new hire orientation
- Usage of various handheld tools
- Physical ability to shovel and rake asphalt, stone, and dirt
- Ability to manage traffic flow under extreme temperatures for extended periods
- Attendance required per policy
- Ability to perform strenuous work in varying weather conditions
- Ability to partner with crew members per plan specifications
- Initiative to perform/assist with other positions for job completions
