Job Summary
Respond promptly to guest maintenance requests and perform preventative maintenance throughout the hotel to ensure smooth operations. Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, appliances, doors, and locks while completing painting, drywall, carpentry, and general maintenance projects. Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues and maintain the safety of guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior grounds. Collaborate closely with Housekeeping and Front Desk teams, following all safety procedures and accurately documenting work orders. This role requires full-time attendance, including weekends and holidays, with the ability to lift up to fifty pounds and work in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work weekends and holidays
- Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred, but skilled trades experience is welcome
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance
- Ability to lift up to fifty pounds and work both indoors and outdoors
- Frequent lifting and bending
- Ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions
- Have basic communication skills (reading, writing, comprehension)
- Be able to utilize a computer for timekeeping, OSHA training, etc.
- Must be able to easily and frequently change from one task to another based on guests' needs
