Job Summary
Full-Time Skilled Maintenance Technician responsible for diagnosing and repairing plumbing, electrical, HVAC, lighting, appliances, doors, locks, and other building systems; performing preventative maintenance to keep hotel operations running smoothly; completing painting, drywall, carpentry, and general maintenance projects; conducting routine inspections; maintaining guest rooms, public spaces, and exterior grounds; coordinating with Housekeeping and Front Desk to ensure guest comfort; following safety procedures and documenting work orders; weekend and holiday availability; experience with general hand tools and comfort working in varying indoor/outdoor conditions; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous hotel maintenance experience preferred, but skilled trades experience is welcome.
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Must be able to easily and frequently change from one task to another based on guests’ needs.
- Frequent lifting and bending required.
- Ability to be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in all types of weather conditions.
- Have basic communication skills (reading, writing, comprehension).
- Be able to utilize a computer for timekeeping, OSHA training, etc.
