Job Summary
Skilled Handyman role handling diverse maintenance, repair, and installation tasks at tenant properties. Responsibilities include repairing plumbing leaks and electrical issues, fixing drywall damage, painting, caulking, weatherproofing, and HVAC filter replacements; installing appliances, shelving, lighting fixtures, doors, windows, and flooring; carpentry work on furniture, decks, fences, and framing; addressing clogged drains and repairing pipes; inspecting properties for maintenance needs and recommending solutions; providing cost estimates and ensuring safety and quality in all work. Strong knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall, with ability to work independently or as part of a team and communicate effectively with tenants and stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years in general maintenance, construction, or related trades
- Proficiency in carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, painting, and drywall repair
- Ability to use hand and power tools effectively
- Certifications: Trade licenses (e.g., plumbing, electrical) preferred but not always required
- Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various conditions
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and own tools
