Job Summary
Skilled Facilities Worker to join Zajac Ranch’s Facilities team for hands-on maintenance across buildings, grounds, and shared spaces. Responsibilities include general handyman tasks, carpentry projects, basic plumbing repairs (leaks, fixtures, toilet repairs, drain clearing), monitoring plumbing and utility areas, painting, groundskeeping, pressure washing, seasonal outdoor maintenance, chopping and stacking wood, and following maintenance checklists. The role requires independence and teamwork, problem-solving, safe operation of tools, and the ability to lift 25–50 lbs. On-site at Zajac Ranch in Mission, BC; full-time, with seasonal workload fluctuations and a focus on maintaining a safe, welcoming environment for campers, staff, and guests.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 years of experience in maintenance, carpentry, facilities, construction, repairs, plumbing, or a related hands-on role
- Experience with general building repairs, maintenance, painting, carpentry, basic plumbing, or groundskeeping
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through practical maintenance challenges
- Good time management and organizational skills
- The ability to take direction and complete tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- A positive, adaptable, and dependable attitude
- Pride in quality workmanship and attention to detail
