Job Summary
Troubleshoot and repair electrical/electronic equipment and control equipment for the Kendallville plant, coordinate with production for corrective maintenance to ensure optimum line efficiency and product quality, perform preventative maintenance inspections on production, building, and utilities equipment, participate in developing preventive maintenance plans, implement continuous improvement on equipment and system design, program and modify PLCs for existing and new equipment, analyze equipment failures and implement corrective actions, and collaborate with maintenance staff across shifts to coordinate maintenance efforts.
Required Qualifications
- Electrical training/degree and experience in manufacturing maintenance
- Knowledge of Allen-Bradley PLC’s and components
- Knowledge of 240/480V systems
- Ability to troubleshoot ladder logic and make edits as required
- Self-motivated and strong drive for results
- Lift 50 pounds
- Able to climb a ladder
- Able to work in areas that contain dust and starch particles
- Able to work in hot and humid conditions
- Basic knowledge of manufacturing and/or food processing, quality standards, hygiene, work safety, etc.
