Job Summary
Senior Electronics Engineer role within Northrop Grumman's SkillBridge program based in Oklahoma City. On-site, 40-hour work week, focusing on research, design, development, integration, and test of avionics and electronic equipment (power generation, communications, flight controls, networks, radar, navigation, weapons systems). Includes mentoring of engineers, cross-functional coordination, supplier interfaces, and adherence to development and qualification processes while supporting program management and customer communications. Program aims to transition separating service-members into civilian roles with potential for full-time opportunity after training.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 5 years of related experience; OR Master’s degree with 3 years; OR PhD with 1 year (Principal Electronics Engineer level 3)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of related experience; OR Master’s degree with 6 years; OR PhD with 4 years (Sr. Principal Electronics Engineer level 4)
- Strong understanding of electronics systems
- Experience with qualification and environmental testing for flight equipment
- Familiarity with Nuclear, EMI, Reliability and Logistics disciplines
- Airborne platform integration requirements experience
- Active US Government Secret Clearance (or ability to obtain)
- Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance
- DoD SECRET clearance within 5 years (preferred)
- Experience in Earned Value and Cost Account Management
- Agile development experience
- Strong leadership, mentoring, and cross-functional coordination
