*SKILLBRIDGE* Electrical Engineer

Job Summary

Design electrical, data, and power subsystems for human spaceflight projects, including component identification, circuit design, and layout development. Support the engineering development lifecycle from concept through certification, managing design reviews, test procedures, and data interpretation. Build and test systems for proof of concept and ground testing while collaborating with leadership, customers, and technical authorities. Deliver high-quality products within cost and schedule constraints for NASA programs including the International Space Station and Orion. Perform in-person work five days a week at NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX.

Required Qualifications

  • MUST BE ACTIVE DUTY US MILITARY ELIGIBLE FOR THE SKILLBRIDGE PROGRAM
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Electrical engineering (or related e.g. Biomedical)
  • 5+ years' experience as an electrical engineer
  • at least 3 years supporting flight hardware development
  • Previous experience with NASA or a NASA contractor
  • Demonstrated success in working within complex projects in a dynamic environment
  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of engineering disciplines focused on the development hardware/products for extremely integrated projects
  • Capable of identifying risks and issues, reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options for mitigation and implement solutions
  • Knowledge of Printed Circuit Board layout (e.g. Altium, etc.)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Mature, professional judgment in establishing design artifacts, objectives, milestones, and priorities
  • Have a 'can do' attitude
  • Experience with configuration and data management processes
  • Applicable knowledge of standard MS Office tools and applications
  • This position is expected to be in person 5 days a week
  • Occasional travel may be required
