Job Summary
Operate skid steers for material handling, loading, grading, and cleanup while managing telehandler or Zoom Boom equipment as required. Complete daily equipment inspections, report defects, and maintain all personal protective equipment. Assist with general labour duties, site cleanup, and organizing construction materials under project leadership supervision. Identify hazards, participate in toolbox meetings, and follow site-specific safety procedures. This long-term project-based role spans approximately 3–6 years at Keeseekoose and Cote First Nations, Saskatchewan, with accommodations provided in Yorkton. Applicants must hold current Skid Steer and Telehandler certifications, be legally authorized to work in Canada, and pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
Required Qualifications
- Skid Steer Operator Certification
- Telehandler or Zoom Boom Operator Certification
- Certifications must confirm completion of the applicable operator training and competency assessment
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in Canada and possess a valid SIN
- Valid driver's licence
- Reliable transportation
- Be able to provide a clean or satisfactory Driver's Abstract
- Be able to pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Be physically capable of performing general labour duties
- Be available to work on-site for the required project schedule
- Safety-minded and able to follow directions
- Work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
