Job Summary
Operate a skid steer to move, stockpile, load, and feed recyclable materials into conveyor systems while sorting, grading, and manually handling specialty materials according to quality standards. Conduct pre-shift equipment checks, complete paperwork, and immediately report maintenance or safety concerns. Assist with receiving incoming loads, directing facility traffic, and maintaining clean, safe work areas by strictly following environmental regulations and company policies. Prioritize pedestrian and vehicle traffic safety while working indoors or outdoors. This full-time role in Buffalo offers a starting pay of $19.00 to $20.50 with hours from 7:00am to 3:30pm. Candidates need 3+ months of skid steer experience and must meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs and wearing required PPE.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ months of experience operating a skid steer or similar mobile equipment
- experience operating a forklift
- experience operating a loader
- excellent situational awareness
- comfortable working in indoor/outdoor settings
- exposure to dust, noise, machinery, and changing weather
- ability to sit
- ability to stand
- ability to climb in/out of equipment
- ability to lift up to 50 lbs
