Job Summary

Oversee evening ski tuning operations by managing the crew, supervising safety protocols, and ensuring every ski meets Powder House quality standards. Perform high-level tuning tasks including edge sharpening, base repair, structure grinding, and binding checks while troubleshooting machinery issues. Serve as the primary point of contact for all tuning and binding liability concerns, delegating work to techs and handling advanced technical repairs. Transition to daytime hours in October and spring to receive vendor skis, tune the demo fleet, and prepare rollover equipment for storage or shipment. Monitor inventory supplies and maintain a clean, organized workspace throughout the season.

Required Qualifications

  • Previous experience in ski tuning, including machine operation and advanced repair
  • Comfortable managing others and delegating in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong understanding of tuning theory, base structure, and edge work
  • Familiarity with binding safety standards and liability protocol
  • Able to work nights consistently through the season, and switch to daytime hours early/late season
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift skis, stand for extended periods, and stay calm under pressure
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
