Job Summary
Perform all aspects of servicing ski/snowboard equipment including mounting, adjustments, tuning, and boot fitting while proactively addressing customer needs and questions. Maintain shop equipment and tools, operate the POS system, and ensure a clean, safe work environment using proper personal protection. Operate ski/snowboard service tools and equipment while maintaining knowledge of daily snow conditions and area programs to aid guest communication. This Full-Time seasonal role begins in December at Windham Mountain Club, requiring early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays with pay of $20-$22 per hour. Candidates must be at least 18 years old with hands-on experience mounting and tuning equipment.
Required Qualifications
- At least 18 years old
- Hands-on experience mounting and tuning equipment
- Intermediate knowledge of ski and snowboard construction
- Must be comfortable interacting with both staff and guests in a friendly and helpful manner
- Must be able to handle a stressful, noisy, and crowded situation
- Must be able to use basic computer systems and POS software
- Basic math skills
- Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for up to 10 hours
- Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, including snow and ice covered surfaces
- Ability to climb stairs and ladders
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, and reach regularly
- Must be able to get to a from work in all weather conditions
- Will require working early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
