Job Summary
Facilitate rental operations by rotating between boot-fitting, tech-ing skis/snowboards, and cashiering while ensuring accurate paperwork, equipment accounting, and inventory counts. Complete binding manufacturer indemnification testing, operate RTP and Aspenware systems, and handle cash accurately at shift end. Sell lift tickets, ski school, and retail items while advocating for the maintenance program and resolving guest issues. Work moderate physical activity involving lifting up to 30 pounds, standing for 6-8 hours, and rotating between Base Lodge or Village locations during the winter season.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working directly with the public
- Candidates must have experience handling money and following accounting procedures
- Ability to be on one's feet for extended periods, up to 6-8 hours
- Moderate physical activity required, handling objects up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Must be available during holiday period (mid-December to mid-January)
- Shifts include a mandatory 2-hour ride/lunch break every day
- Work on weekends, holidays, and some evenings
- Staff may be asked to work a flexible schedule at either Base Lodge Rental or Village Rental throughout the season
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a rental/repair operation
- Experience in ski and boot repairs
- Past cashier experience
- Knowledge of the ski/snowboard industry
- Past binding certification training
- Advocate of excellent guest service, able to handle difficult guests and resolve problems
- Self-starter, able to work independently with little supervision
- Able to function effectively with both guests and staff
- Skiing/snowboarding experience
