Job Summary
Teach ski lessons to clients of all ages in group and private settings following CSIA methods and the Big White Ski & Board School progression levels; ensure safety and safety planning; design lesson content for a safe, fun learning experience; evaluate participants and recommend next steps; maintain effective public relations and problem-solving with staff; collaborate with program staff and follow policies for incidents and emergencies; requires CSIA Level 2 or international equivalent and prior instructing experience; preferred certifications and language proficiency; candidates must pass criminal record checks and meet physical/daily demands; start December 2026 with wage approximately $23.00 per hour plus incentives. This role is onsite at Kelowna, BC, Canada, for the winter season.
Required Qualifications
- CSIA Level 2 or above (or international equivalent) ski instructor
- Previous ski instructing experience
- Experience working in organized settings
- Preference for proficiency teaching in a second language (Spanish, French, or Mandarin)
- CASI level 1 or above (or international equivalent)
- CSIA Snowpark or Canadian Freestyle Ski Association (CFSA) certifications
- Experience in teaching children
- Nordic Skiing certifications
- Criminal record checks required for all employees working with children
