Job Summary
Ski & Bike Mechanic responsible for inspection, tuning, repair, maintenance, and overall care of Montage-owned recreation equipment (ski, snowboard, and bikes). Performs ski/snowboard tuning (waxing, edging, base repair, mounting, binding adjustments), inspects and services equipment to keep it guest-ready, conducts preventative maintenance, maintains detailed service logs, and supports the resort’s outdoor programs. Summer bike operations include assembling and inspecting bikes, performing repairs, routine maintenance, and inventory tracking. Maintains a safe, organized workshop, delivers high-quality service, and trains teammates on repair best practices. Requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, safety-conscious mindset, and ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak periods in a luxury hospitality environment.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Ski/snowboard technician and/or bike mechanic experience preferred
- Knowledge of ski binding indemnification standards and tuning equipment preferred
- Experience with bicycle maintenance and repair, including suspension and hydraulic brake systems preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced luxury resort environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
