Job Summary
Investigate suspicious and questionable claims activity as an SIU Investigator within established guidelines, gathering evidence through field or remote interviews and databases, preparing detailed investigative reports, and recommending outcomes. Develop fraud prevention strategies and apply knowledge of P&C insurance products, policy contracts, and applicable state laws/regulations. Build external relationships with industry, law enforcement, and other contacts involved in fraud investigation, detection, and prevention. May serve as a resource team member and assist with fraud awareness training; handle CAT duty as needed. Role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with on-site expectations for the San Antonio area (4 days on-site per week within a 60-mile radius) and occasional business travel. Requires strong investigatory skills, the ability to gather evidence from diverse sources, and the ability to prioritize workload and communicate findings through comprehensive verbal and written reports.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma
- 2 years claims adjusting experience, or P&C SIU/Fraud Investigation experience OR 4 years prior investigative law enforcement (to include military) or relevant fraud industry investigation experience
