Job Summary
Work under RN supervision to maintain constant visual observation of patients at risk of self-harm or wandering, ensuring a safe environment by preventing falls and device removal. Communicate patient behavior and condition changes promptly to nursing staff while providing companionship to reduce anxiety. Assist with non-clinical comfort needs and interact respectfully with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Requires BLS certification, English proficiency, and ability to communicate orally and in writing. This per diem float role supports patient safety for those with cognitive impairment or delirium at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City.
Required Qualifications
- BLS (AHA) certification required
- Ability to communicate in English orally and in writing
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic computer skills
- Within 90 days be eligible to participate in a C.N.A. Training program
