Job Summary
Manage monthly invoicing, reconcile labor and equipment costs, and ensure billing aligns with executed contracts and field reports for General Requirements projects ranging from $2 million to over $200 million. Develop proposals, negotiate contract terms with General Contractors, and source vendors for specialty self-perform services including site logistics, trailers, and temporary facilities. Plan and deploy national manpower across multiple jobsites, coordinate labor adjustments with clients, and resolve disputes regarding scope, schedule, and billing. Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, client project groups, and labor partners while establishing processes and standards for the new business unit. This onsite role in Elkhart, Indiana, requires heavy nationwide travel and 5+ years of construction project management experience.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer, or similar role in construction
- Our clients and projects are nationwide – heavy travel will be required
- Strong understanding of General Requirements / General Conditions scopes
- Proven experience managing labor, cost tracking, and monthly billing
- Contract review, negotiation, and proposal development experience
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to track costs, margins, and recoverables
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and standard project management software
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different regions
- Direct, professional communication style with clients and partners
- Strong project safety record and commitment to safety and quality
- Ability to walk the jobsite, climb ladders / multi-story scaffolding, and lift objects 50lbs
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working for or with General Contractors
- Experience managing T&M and self-perform scopes
- Familiarity with Procore, Autodesk Build, or similar systems
- Experience working with union and non-union labor partners
- Entrepreneurial mindset—comfortable building structure where little exists
