Job Summary
Design and optimize network solutions for USSOCOM's enterprise operations, including reviewing existing architectures and recommending system improvements. Troubleshoot enterprise voice, video, cloud, and data networks, evaluating architectural changes and their impact on mission-critical applications. Configure, maintain, and defend LAN and WAN infrastructures, including VLANs, while establishing backup and malware defense systems. Plan and execute network installation projects, triaging infrastructures to reduce operational costs and ensure global availability. Perform Tier-4 network support in accordance with SIE OPORD standards.
Required Qualifications
- BS + 8 years of experience OR MS + 6 years of experience OR PHD with 3 years of experience OR HS with 12 years of experience OR AA with 10 years of experience
- DoD 8570 IAT II Certification
- Experience with network operating systems (e.g., Cisco, Novell and Windows Server), network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, cabling and other essential network hardware), and LAN/WAN protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP, MPLS)
- Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities
- TS/SCI clearance required
- Compliance with DoW 8140 under the Work Role Code 441 – Network Operations Specialist - Intermediate level or higher. Must be completed by 01Oct26.
